Samsung will release later this year another Galaxy phone, the S5660 Gio, who is the little brother of the Galaxy ACE. Gio gets an 800MHz processor and has a smaller 3.2-inch touchscreen, 3 megapixel auto focus camera. It packs A-GPS, 2GB internal memory, Bluetooth, 802.11n WiFi, FM tuner and a microSD card slot. Samsung Galaxy Gio runs Android 2.2 and comes with quick Swype type using keyboard, ThinkFree Office. The Android phone works with quad-band GSM / EDGE and dual-band 3G/HSDPA networks. You can use the supported Vibration, MP3 and WAV ringtones to the call or message alerts to get. 3.5 mm audio jack and speaker produce crystal clear sound.

The connectivity front of the gadget comes with GPRS, EDGE, WLAN, and Bluetooth and microUSB v2.0. 3.15MP camera of the gadget with 2048 × 1536 pixels, auto focus and Geo-tagging is ideal for beginners to take great videos or snaps. This mobile phone runs on the Android OS and is integrated with 800MHz processor. SMS (threaded view); MMS, Email, Push Email and IM are the different messaging options, supported by the unit. This phone will lure you with its black casing. The multimedia portion of the gadget is very well supported with radio, games, player and MP4/H.264/H.263 MP3/WAV/eAAC + player. A-GPS support, third-party applications via Java, Organizer, Voice memo / dial, text input, document viewer / editor and image / video editor are some of the features should be included in the unit.

    Ho letto il manuale in inglese del Samsung Galaxy GT Gio S55660V. Non vi ho trovato traccia di come si leggono i messaggi. Nel capitolo Communications non c’è proprio il paragrafo successivo al SEND MESSAGE.

    Is there any way to regulate data packet usage other than activating and deactivating it under settings, mobile networks,use packet data. . .–> and will I have to manually stop every single application under settings,apps, manage apps,running services… ? I’ve had the phone for a week and I’ve never regretted having chosen a phone more because any Internet access, even for 5/6 minutes at a time, chews through my data so fast that I now refrain from using anything other than the camera and music player. I mean, I have this fantastic phone but its amazing features is now to me what ice is to an Eskimo! PLEASE HELP ME, any advice is welcome,

    well my samusng galixy gio is all messed up i must have done something but when i turn on my phone theres this keypad of numbers and then above it says “Enter PUK code to unlock SIM card.” what does this mean???

      That means you are screwed. you have entered 3 time you pin code wrong. find your case for your sim card, there you will find your PUK code next to your 1-st PIN when you have bought the card

    i have a samsung galaxy gio and i just got it and i noticed that the android symbol is green in the left corner and then sometimes grey! does this mean that when turning grey that i have lost service and i can no longer send messages until symbol turns green?
