HTC ONE V Hands-on: A Dsmartphones.com EXCLUSIVE

Pinterest

Right from the moment HTC One series was launched at the MWC 2012, it has made people go gaga over these phones. Among all the high end phones, there was one phone – comfortable and cozy, a little masterpiece loaded with all the latest features it could handle. Yes, I am taking about HTC ONE V.

Even though its elders in the series are par excellence, the One V doesn’t lack much to be ignored. In fact it’s a great phone with best features at this price tag. This ICS phone comes with HTC Sense 4. Let us explain you each and everything you need to know about HTC ONE V:

Looks:

The whole metallic look of the phone gives you a royal feeling while you hold it in your hands. The slight curved chin design or the bend at the end, in a way enhances that sleeky and smooth feel of the phone. The three touch buttons are perfectly placed for your convenience. It weighs only 115 g with the dimensions of 120.3 x 59.7 x 9.2 mm.

Display:

The One V has a capacitive touchscreen with Sense 4, which is an excellent combination. It supports 16 Million colors but unlike others, it doesn’t only promise 16 M colors, you can actually feel the each vibrant color flowing out of it. With the 480 x 800 pixels and 3.7 of wide screen you can never be disapointed.

Camera and Music:

The one series is known for its camera and music and trust me, its worth every penny you spent on it. With the beats audio the phone delivers you top class music quality, even the headphones are though not in-ear type, but quite good when beats audio is turned on and the camera of 5 MP is at its best. The additional feature of taking pictures while recording a video is the one thing all the Smartphone should learn from HTC One.

Processor & Features:

The OS is Android 4.0 ICS. With the Chipset of Qualcomm MSM8255 Snapdragon, the phone has processor of 1 GHz. The overall speed and processing time is good enough. It also comes with a GPU of Adreno 205 and plays games without any lag. It comes with all the general features like GPS, Fm Radio, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi.

Battery & Buttons:

I have owned Samsung, LG, Apple and Motorola, but none of them surprised me by the speed of getting charged like this one. This piece of Ice Cream Sandwich charges in no time and lasts for long time, I give an A+ for the battery and when it comes to buttons, the volume rocker keys are very comfortable and so is the power button. It lacks a dedicated camera button like most of the Smartphones these days. You also get three perfectly placed touch buttons.

Accessories:

You get a smart piece of ear phone and a decent charger. The USB is connected to the charger. The booklets and the user guide are also included for your further information.

Conclusion:

HTC One V has pros and cons, but the pros far outweigh the cons. With an elegant design, pretty decent battery (which gets charged in no time), Beats Audio and a world class camera this phone is pretty good. After all, what more do you expect from a $350 phone? This is a great buy at this price. For the cons, we get only 1 GB internal space which is surely a downer and no front facing camera. But how many of you actually make video calls from phone? Besides, the back camera is so cool that you forget about the front camera. This metallic finished, light weighted phone, which comes with a crisp resolution, is a must buy this season.
